A few of my Bali favourites

Posted by Marcelle Gosling on

I thought I would share a few of my favourite places to stay, eat and drink in Bali.

If you're a regular visitor to the island, you may know some of these places well (and if you have some other recommendations - please leave them in the comments, I'd love to hear them!). But if you're planning a trip to Bali soon and would like a few of my favourite recommendations, here goes:

This is a really great cafe in Legian. I have to be a bit careful when eating salad in Bali as my stomach can be a bit sensitive but I have been enjoying salad rolls here for years and can highly recommend them.

What a gorgeous restaurant this is! Check it out for delicious Italian cuisine and wonderful decor.

Another favourite restaurant, good value too. Order the chilli and garlic spaghetti - trust me!

French Mediterranean restaurant in Seminyak, definitely worth a visit.

A night at Sardine in northern Seminyak is always a treat. Set on beautiful grounds, the vegetables and herbs are sourced from their own vegetable gardens. I usually always order a fish dish when at Sardine and it never disappoints.

Latin American style restaurant in Seminyak. The suckling pig is fantastic if you're there for a feast..no one will leave hungry!

Another fabulous Italian restaurant in Seminyak. I have been coming here for years and it is always good. A great place to relax and watch the sunset too.

South East Asian cuisine with a twist. I love that Mama Sun supports the Food for Thought charity.

A beautiful place to stay, right on the beach in Seminyak. Winner of the 'best sunset venue' for 2017. The decor is particularly inspiring. Highly recommended!

But the greatest and simplest pleasure in Bali by far is to watch the beautiful sunsets and be grateful. It is something I ensure I do every evening in Bali, wherever I am. At the end of each day on this wonderful island, that's where you'll find me.
